Drawings and studies and nudes.

A drawing's "success", its beauty if you will, most often is dependent upon its having achieved the very gist of what it is depicting with little elaborative [polish as to mask the vitality of its execution. Unlike a painting a drawing is more about the moments of conceptualizing the idea. A drawing's more about the beauties of immediacy than a finished painting's being of a long-term engineering. Drawings  though they should be well designed compositionally, oftentimes can "shine" due to one miraculous element within the whole; so many drawings are jumbles of incomplete articulations but for one detail , one magical detail- a moment of visual poetry.
